Cabin Brewing Company is in Calgary’s Manchester Brewing District. The 3 partners Jonas Hurtig, Darrin Sayers and Haydon Dewes, all started off as home brewers and met at Cowtown Yeast Ranglers. At one point all 3 were in the top 11 home brewers in Canada. When Cabin Brewing Company opened in 2018, the partners had a good synergy of skills. Jonas Hurtig makes the beer. He was previously a commercial brewer at Wild Rose, Darrin Sayers is a mechanic and is in charge of keeping all the equipment running smoothly, and Haydon Dewes is in charge of marketing and getting the word out & the customers in at Cabin Brewing.
I love the atmosphere at Cabin Brewing. It reminds me of apres-ski in the rocky mountains in the spring. It is relaxed and happy. When I think of Cabin Brewing, I immediately think of this beer in its bright blue can with the 1970s vibe. What was supposed to be a one off seasonal has turned into their biggest selling beer! The Super Saturation New England Pale Ale is a hazy, juicy, fruity beer. There are 3 different types of hops - Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe. We have the hops to thank for all of those pineapple, mango and orange aromas and flavours.

Where is it?
Cabin Brewery Company is located at 505 - 36 Avenue SE, in the Manchester Brewing Area. One thing I really like about this area is that you can take the c-train. Cabin Brewing is about a 10 minute walk from the 39 Avenue Train Station.
